I can also recommend the program WinZip (WINZIP site here) many programs which are Downloaded from the Internet are ZIP file's. (version 8.1 is the latest, 1.8mb)

 WINZIP is also very useful (in fact mandatory)) if you wish to put a Large file onto Floppy Disc but the file is too big for one floppy disc. A Zip file can Span many Floppy Disc's with the same file.
